'Success creates this aversion to change, an aversion to risk,' said Kenneth Paul Tan, vice dean at the Lee Kuan Yew School. 'One good lesson is no matter how successful one has been through the years, the willingness and ability to keep surveying their circumstances, and keep learning from other people must still be there.
